About the technology

DIMENSETM technology does exactly what its name implies – it “dimenses“ digital printing. This pioneering technology makes it possible to print unique embossing at the same time as the item is digitally printed at virtually any size and without repeating the embossing pattern. So structure and motif can be perfectly matched to each other, or the structure may be completely different than the picture itself – it all depends on the designer’s creativity.  In order to achieve this result, DG DIMENSE offers a complete solution: the printer, media and water based latex inks.

DS-MATT | DS MEDIA MATT 1.6x50m
  • Our most popular non-woven Dimense media with embossingup to 1 mm.
  • Great value for money.
  • This media has a matt finish for contemporary interior atmosphere creation.
  • Very good colour and bright colour reproductions possible due to very bright white point of media.
  • Recommended when accurate colour reproduction is demanded.
  • Embossing effects are lessvisible compared to glossy materials.
DS-PEARLE | DS MEDIA PEARLE 1.6x50m
  • Non-woven Dimense media with a glossy surface.
  • The slick surface has a light pearlescent coating.
  • Printing on this media results insharper embossing effects and better visible texture compared to matt media.
  • Media has a slightly yellowish tint.
DS-SILVER | DS MEDIA SILVER 1.6x50m
  • This non-woven media is specially developed for creating special scenes with metallic colours.
  • The effects can be used in monochrome printing as well as in full-colour.
  • Beautiful silver properties can be highlighted with using lighter tonesand cold tones.
DS-SUEDE | DS MEDIA SUEDE 1.6x50m
  • Non-woven Dimense media with a nice rough textile appearance.
  • This look and feel is generated after the drying process in the printer.
  • This media is perfectly suited for designs withconcrete design or in case you want to mimic fabric, or hand painted effects.
  • SUEDE finish is the most matt media in the DIMENSE media range.
DS-GOLDM | DS MEDIA GOLD MATT 1.6x50m
  • Second generation of Dimense media with a gold-coloured topcoat: DS-GOLDM. The surface is more matt.
  • The embossing heating for DS-GOLDM is 20–25°C lower compared to the previous version but requires more heat compared to standard media. Please ensure you use the right media profile.
  • Advantages : less heat reflection in the printer in production, resulting in more predictable output.
  • Easier calendar calibration & stable embossing/ lowerrisk of overheating dark areas.
  • No need for an infrared absorptive layer in design files.
  • Less discoloration on light colours/ Smoother embossed surface.
DS-HR-MAT | DS MEDIA HIGH RESIST MATT 1.6x50m
  • Latest development in Dimense Media technology; the scratch resistance improved with 200% compared to our standard mattmedia thanks to incorporation of DIMENSE HIGH RESIST technology.
  • In DIMENSE HIGH RESIST technology is an anti-scratch film layer incorporated underneath the topcoat of the media. Another benefit from this technology is that seamsare less visible compared to other Dimense media.
  • Suited for high-traffic areas or valuable print out. Can also be used as alternative for liquid coating.
  • Non-woven Dimense media with embossingup to 1 mm.
  • Very good colour and bright colour reproductions possible due to very bright white point of media.
DS-HR-PEA | DS MEDIA HIGH RESIST PEARL 1.6x50m
  • Latest development in Dimense Media technology; the scratch resistance improved with 200% compared to our standard pearl media thanks to incorporation of DIMENSE HIGH RESIST technology.
  • In DIMENSE HIGH RESIST technology is an anti-scratch film layer incorporated underneath the topcoat of the media. Another benefit from this technology is that seams are less visible compared to other Dimense media.

DS-T2-PEA | DS MEDIA TYPE 2 PEARL 1.6x35m
  • Special re-enforced non-woven Dimense media, the total weight is 440 g/m².
  • Embossing up to 1.5 mm.
  • This media has TYPE II (USA) certification.
  • Requires a finish with Marabu ClearShield Classic (glossy, semi-matt or matt).
  • The glossy surface has a light pearlescent coating howevercan be changed to matt depending on the varnish that is applied.
  • Printing on this media results insharper embossing effect.
DS-MAT-EX | DS MEDIA MATT EXTRA 1.6x40m
  • Embossing up to 2mm! This non-woven Dimense Media is developed for both printing and painting.
  • Great visibility of embossing effects.
  • Very good colour and bright colour reproductions possible due to bright white point of media.
  • Recommended when accurate colour reproduction is demanded.
  • Compatible with regular water-based paints and second layer metallic effects paints with Dimense series of effect paints (DS-E series).
DS-SUE-EX | DS MEDIA SUEDE EXTRA 1.6x40m
  • Embossing up to 2mm! This non-woven Dimense Media is developed for full colour printing.
  • Media with a nice rough textile appearance, this look and feel is generated after the drying process in the printer.
  • This media is perfectly suited for designs withconcrete design or in case you want to mimic fabric, or hand painted effects.
  • SUEDE finish is the most matt media in the DIMENSE media range.
  • Very well suited for interior design.
DS-SUE-TX | DS MEDIA SUEDE TEXTILE 1.6x40m
  • Dimense Media with a textile (polyester) backing and suede top-coat.
  • Ideal for silicone edge graphics, canvasses and roll-up banners.
  • Media with a rough look and feel, this is generated after the drying process in the printer.
  • This media is perfectly suited for designs withconcrete design or in case you want to mimic fabric, or hand painted effects.
DS-PEA-TX | DS MEDIA PEARL TEXTILE 1.6x40m
  • Dimense Media with a textile (polyester) backing and pearl top-coat.
  • Ideal for silicone edge graphics, canvasses and roll-up banners.

  • The surface of Dimense FRTX series is smoother compared to the standard textile (TX-series).
  • The FRTX series does not have a linear texture.
